The Echo of Truth

Truth has as many definitions as there are living entities with a consciousness. It's recognizing the reality of being conscious that defines one's truth. Our focus of attention -- the little spark of awareness -- makes it true and real at the same time.

A fundamental truth not only demands courage to be revealed, it usually also lies beyond the basics we have accepted as true. Shoseki said: "Truth only reveals itself when one gives up all preconceived ideas." Or like Simone de Beauvoir put it: "I tore myself away from the safe comfort of certainties through my love for truth -- and truth rewarded me."

In regard to Self- and God-Realization, Paul Twitchell, wrote in The Far Country: "There is one fundamental perception, indispensable to man for gaining wisdom in the many ways of the divine self and that is to see the Sugmad (God) in His essential self and the Truth, unaltered by forms and phenomena."

Someone asked, How does truth speak to us? I said, through a mirroring echo. The true test of character shows when a person is believed to be in possession of truth, if such a thing is possible in absence of error.

Light-like, Sound-like, Love-like ...

Love in all its dynamic majesty flourishes based upon, and within, the existence of the Light and Sound. The Light, the Sound as well as Love show similarities in how they behave and how they manifest. They're not one-directional, instead they spread out in all directions, horizontal, vertical, intro- and extroverted. The structure follows the flow of vibrations, as they bounce off and reflect, float or penetrate -- with the intention of BEing, but without any other will or direction besides to express and share what IS. Up to a point the Light, the Sound, and Love all have the ability to effectively affect the rate of vibration on their surroundings without willfully imposing upon them.

Of course we can take charge and narrow the spectrum of Light, Sound, and Love. We can bundle Light to a beam, or use Sound in a directional matter, and Love can be used as a manipulating tool. But we can ask ourselves if we have the courage to step back, to become Love-like, like Love -- Light-like, like Light -- Sound-like, like Sound in a pure and open way. Studying and observing the fabric of the Light, the Sound and Love can lead to a wider perspective of how things suppose to work together in harmony within the harmony.

Then there is the open question: Where is the source of Light, Sound, and Love -- how can and do they manifest in the first place?

Noise = A fraction of a moment in eternal silence

Every thought manifests a vibration. For those who can hear, every vibration has melody and rhythm set in time, but is it possible to manifest noise (vibration) and silence (absence of any vibration) in the same split moment?

Assuming Albert Pike is correct: "Everything actual must also first have been possible, before having actual existence." Nature reveals that where the river is deepest, it makes the least sound, and still the noise the water created running through the creeks is embedded in the depth of the waters.

The sound of HU is the quiet, deep river. Like Pythagoras said: "It is better to be silent, or to say things of more value than silence." And that is how the melody and rhythm of HU emanates the silence of the heart with vibrations of the divine.

Sound-Light and the body

Neither is the sound nor is the light of a higher essence. They do have different expressions, even though both are a manifestation of vibration. How we as humans work with either one of them is a little different:

The sound of HU is the source of all sound, and sound is as close to the source of life as we can get. Any living being can experience sound first hand by vocally participating in it, but we can only experience light by being exposed to it. That is because we can make a sound with our vocal cords, but we can not make a light with any organ of our physical body.

We can use sound to allude to light, or we can work with visual matter to reflect or recapture the sound.

Is There Tension Between Light and Sound?

If light and sound echo the spheres, then sound offers an entrance into the higher worlds, embracing and complementing the light that swirls around the vibrations of the sound. In the same breath, love is light surrounded by sound.

Lightning precedes thunder, the sound here adjusts to the light, but what happens if the sound precedes the light? The light will adjust to the pattern of the sound. Tension can only manifest in a direct confrontation of at least 2 elements. The relationship of the light and sound, however, consist on complementing each other on the way to an infinite goal of being love with an absence of confrontation.

By chanting HU with nothing else in sight besides learning what the sound (including the light) can teach us, we may be able to come to an understanding how they work together.

From hearing to listening

There is a point in life when we heard enough and we start to listen. Whatever small difference there is between hearing and listening the change in awareness is what matters.

Applying this to the sound of HU, we can hear the sounds of HU, we can chant HU, and make IT come to life, but eventually we need to come to listen to IT. When we start to listen, the inner secrets of the HU will come alive.

Understanding vibration

Everything has its own rate of vibration. This is most noticeable with sound since sound-vibrations can be measured, seen with our physical eyes, and felt like thunder, e.g. But everything else also has its own vibration, including our own state of consciousness.

To understand is to be able to either match, accept, or pick up a certain rate of vibration. Translating that to the sound of HU, we will become part of this sound when we understand its rate of vibration and when that happens we can explore the HU even further.

What's in a word?

Ever wonder how the mind approaches words? Lately I have found people taking what a I say in the complete opposite direction of what I intended to communicate. Well, of course the basic thought is still there, and the fact that the sentence was taken the opposite way will not change my intention and/or what it stated. It does, however, confirm that what I said was complete, since it can be understood in the full circle of duality.

That my words were “misunderstood” has to do with the verity that we can only see and understand what we’re capable of grasping. In that sense we are drawn to, and clench, the same or similar assessments over and over again, missing the deeper meaning of word(s). The mental universe radiates an overwhelming desire to strip an idea to the bare bones of our consciousness and convert it to our own perspective.

If we ever get to the point where we find a desire to break this pattern of limitation, one way to achieve an expansion of our consciousness is to listen to the inner sound and look to the inner light – that’s where HU comes in.

Character of Sound

The pure form of either Light or Sound doesn’t flow like a river from one point to another following gravity. Rather it expands in all directions, horizontally as well as vertically, at the same time. That makes the personal experience of Light and Sound such an uplifting and expanding experience.

If you listen to the sound of HU you may want to join in and add your personal note to the chant – and by doing so you are now an active part of the sound, which will enhance the experience of the sound.

Sound-Silence Relationship

Is there a difference between sound and silence, or is either frequency created with the same matter? In other words, is the sound of HU the sound of silence, and if so, how can we define/experience it?

I would like to encourage you to try to figure this out for yourself. As a hint to one of the answers Paul Twitchell quotes Rebazar Tarzs in the book The Far Country: “Only by entering into divine silence and closing our eyes and ears to the world of illusion can we hear the celestial melody…”

If you know your answer, here is another quote from the same book: “We call impersonal that state of intuition in which our thought is no longer divided into a thinking subject and an external world, but rather the outer world is abolished by its integration into our personal consciousness.”

Fear is ignorance

I know you cannot give a man anything greater than he is (paraphrasing Paul Twitchell). If you do, and sometimes it is unavoidable, this person will act upon his fear of the "greater" which is counterproductive to the original intention.

It is also true, as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, that "fear always springs from ignorance", but if someone wants to reside in ignorance -- so be it.

Working with sound (or the light) on the inner is very similar. You go as far as you want to and are comfortable with experiencing.

You are the sound

If you visit the link given yesterday and downloaded the HU Chant, you had a chance to experience the HU sound. Here is another link with a 64kbps HU Chant on it.
HU Chant

If you can, try to experience the sound without having emotions, thought or direction interfere. Simply listen to it and if you are comfortable, let it enter your heart, so you can become part of the HU. When you open yourself like this you now are part of the sound. It is no longer on the outside, but is now generated on the inside. Ergo: you are the sound.

What is HU?

"HU is woven into the language of life. It is the Sound of all sounds. It is the wind in the leaves, falling rain, thunder of jets, singing of birds, the awful rumble of a tornado.

Its sound is heard in laughter, weeping, the din of city traffic, ocean waves, and the quiet rippling of a mountain stream. And yet, the word HU is not God, ITSELF. It is a word people anywhere can use to address the Originator of Life."

--Harold Klemp
